| Big White Racers Shine at Sun Peaks Invitational |

Under beautiful sunny skies, Big White Racers capped an exciting season with a strong showing at the Rio Tinto Alcan Nancy Greene Ski League Sun Peaks Invitational, March 13th and 14th. Traditionally, the final event of the season, the Sun Peaks Invitational featured over 400 racers, ages eleven and under, from approximately 20 mountains across British Columbia.
In the individual GS event, Big White Racers had 8 top ten finishes, including, Tyler Clark (3rd, 9 year old boys), Marcus Athans (6th, nine year old boys), RJ Lukinuk (9th, nine year old boys), Zane Torres (4th, ten year old boys) Cole Pederson (9th, ten year old boys), Hannah Walline (9th, ten year old girls), Leah McWilliams (4th, 11 year old girls) and Rhianne McWilliams (5th 11 year old girls). In the GS team categories, Big White Racers claimed two of a possible four gold metals, and a silver medal, to cap two fabulous days. Team Gold metal participants included Jenelle Gieblhaus, Elli Clark, Rachel McInnes, Chanelle Nutley, Jennifer Pilon, Sophie Schroeder, Owen Clark, Noa Borg, Cameron McInnes, Zander Torres, and Matthew Richardson. Team Bronze medalists included Issac Athans, Jaxon Slaney, Joelle da Silva, Callum Mandl and Allison Sinclair. In addition to the GS Race, Big White Racers also excelled in a series of skills challenges held over the two day event, with an impressive 48 top 5 finishes. Top 5 finishers for Kombi as follows: 5 yr olds: Elli Clark: 3td 6 yr olds: Owen Clark placed 1st and Jenelle Gieblhaus placed 5th 7 yr olds: Jaxon Slaney placed 3rd and Issac Athans placed 2nd 8 yr olds: Sophie Schroeder placed 2nd 11 yr olds: Leah McWilliams placed 4th and Rhianne McWilliams placed 5th
