This Valentine's Day stop in at the Bear House Delicatessen to pick up a little something for your sweetheart. Choose from a mouth watering selection of Daniel Chocolates. With a 32 piece order you'll also receive a cuddly little bear to complete the gift. Their convenient location, in Stonebridge just on the left as you ski into Big White Village, makes for an excellent stop off during or after a fun day of hitting the slopes. The Bear House is a cafe, deli and souvenir shop all-in-one. Sit down and enjoy a latte with one of their delicious Dufflet pastries, or their famous gluhwein (hot wine) with soup and a pannini, quiche, or any of their gourmet menu items. One of their specialties is Raclette, all-you-can-eat for only $25 per person. The souvenirs include an array of maple products (you simply must try the maple butter) and of course the cute bears for which they're named. An added bonus is the children's play room, allowing parents to sit and enjoy themselves while keeping an eye on their little ones only a few feet away. The ambiance is fun and relaxing, with a life sized "tree" growing in the middle of the cafe, and birds chirping in the branches. They're open 9am-6pm daily. "We also accommodate private reservations after 6pm, if people call in advance to reserve," said owner Caroline Wagniez. You can book intimate dinners, or larger celebrations and parties.
